~she was the ocean~

She held within her, depths unmeasurable. She held the secrets nobody else knew. Her flow was magnanimous but playful. She was an ocean herself.
And you know the ocean and it’s funny gullible nature, right? It reflects sunlight by the commotion over it’s surface during the day. But at night, it uncontrollably waves to a tiny dot in the sky when the same sunlight gets reflected towards it. Ironical how the strength we have might be the weakness we’ve been trying to fight.
Her amiable character and happy chittering were undeniably pretty. You could never deny her presence.
And there, the ocean stood still. Calm and peaceful. Unlike it’s usual playful self, nothing hovering over the surface and nothing heard except the sound of silence. To a person who doesn’t know about oceans much, would find this environment pretty relaxing.
Let me tell you, she was beautiful. But disaster wouldn’t come with a prior warning in a disguise either. She was her usual self, just a quieter version- the one who wouldn’t look upset but would sure seem different. And you can never tell how and when.
The ocean could either give in to the sunlight and wrap in itself or curl back and roll down on the shore. Being the person she was, she couldn’t destroy others and there were no plans to change.
And the beauty started getting choked. She grew pale; the ocean was not anymore a deep blue. She cringed; the ocean waves spread nowhere and everywhere. She sulked; the ocean bed developed cracks.
The ocean might be vast and it’s unending boundaries might yell for power but no matter how much more it grows, it’ll be trapped inside the insecurities that possess it. She was no different: a sad soul dying inside a cheerful body.
